The first Uzis were equipped with a short, fixed wooden buttstock, and this is the version that initially saw combat during the 1956 Suez Campaign. Later models would be equipped with a folding metal stock.

The Northeast UZI 50 CO2 Blowback Airsoft SMG is a faithful replica of the early UZIs adopted by the Israeli Defense Force in the 50s, the “50” in this airsoft replica’s name refers to it being a replica of the UZI from the 1950s. Just like the Northeast MP2A1, the West German counterpart of the UZI, this replica replicated the real UZI to a T, with most of the gun made of steel with a parkerized finish, while the grips are of high-quality polymers, just like the real gun with a detachable real wood stock, also, just like the real thing. The gun has features that are almost exactly the same as the real gun, the bolt and charging handle will stay in place when the bolt is not charged completely, you also cannot charge the gun when the safety is engaged or when the grip safety is not pressed, the only thing not realistic about this replica is that it is an airsoft gun that fired 6mm BBs.

Compared to the Northeast STEN, it is much simpler to toggle dry fire on the UZI, as no longer will you need to disassemble the magazine to toggle, simply just toggle the switch on the magazine to activate dry fire or a last round cut-off, this is great for some of us who just wanted to dry fire their gun at home.

Lastly, the gun has recoil but the impulse at least for us is not as strong as the Umarex (VFC) H&K MP5A5 gas airsoft SMG in our humble opinion, but the gun is quite snappy on semi and has a similar automatic rate as the real UZI. However, it does not matter in the end because, this is the first-ever full metal, full-size gas blowback airsoft UZI and it is definitely going to be a great piece to own and collect.
