The M1851 Navy Spring Revolver Pro, Americas Belt Revolver!
Step back in time with the Tokyo Marui M1851 Navy Revolver! This air-powered airsoft pistol is perfect for anyone who loves vintage firearms or just wants to stand out in an airsoft match.
An improved model of the Colt Paterson, this percussion cap and ball revolver was designed by renowned firearms maker, Samuel Colt, the revolver was named the Navy Revolver, as its revolving cylinder features engravings that depict the Battle of Campeche, paying homage to the naval battle between the Mexican and Texan navies on May 16th, 1843. Chambered in .36 naval calibre, the Navy was known for its lighter weight in comparison to its predecessors, becoming a suitable carry size for belt holsters, and later innovative use of a self-contained metallic cartridge, providing faster reloading action. It achieved widespread fame during the American Civil War by both sides, being valued for its reliability and accuracy by soldiers and officers. The Navy saw favourability as an American frontier gun, and thanks to Colt’s aggressive marketing, saw widespread use across the world, becoming a revered best-seller gun in the 19th century, and ushered the age of the gunfighter.
Imitating the same design as its early models, the Tokyo Marui M1851 is a member of their Air Revolver Pro series of air pistols, the revolver is built out of sturdy polymer, and thanks to Tokyo Maruis legendary design, features a high-quality aesthetic appearance, with its blued material finish could be mistakenly passed off as collectors all metal pistol instead of an all polymer spring revolver from afar. As an imitation of the early cap and ball revolver configuration, Marui molds in identical detailing of the Battle of Campeche engraving on the cylinder, depicting the same engravings as done by Waterman Ormsby, engraver for Samuel Colts revolver cylinders. Additional trademarks include Colt no. 1310 patent and the date of the battle, along with the address to Colt on its barrel and another patent mark on the frames left. The revolver includes many operable gimmicks to make this gun desirable, an operable loading lever with the adjustable hop-up dial hidden near the mechanism of the lever, a brass front iron sight with rear irons when the hammer is up, a 6-shot cylinder with optional dummy percussion cap aesthetics that can be installed on. As a premium air gun, the revolver fires simply by pulling down the hammer and pulling the trigger, the BBs can be loaded directly into the front of the cylinder, able to fit six 6mm BBs. This M1851 features plenty of gimmicks, with the unique ability to take down the gun into 3-pieces by half-cocking the revolver, disengaging the locking pin on the barrel, and aligning the inner arrow of the cylinder to the 9 o’clock direction of the revolver, the gun can be taken apart into 3 separate components, bringing a true immersive experience in disassembling the firearm. Because of the disassembled components, the air gun system has been redesigned with a new mechanism and air route system along with the adjustable hop-up system, the BB can spin and reach further with a stable bullet velocity and high accuracy with a low joules output, the revolver is ideal for 0.12g or 0.2g 6mm BBs. Another feature offered by the M1851 is the ability to half-cock the hammer and spin the cylinder, or to put the gun back into safe by holding the trigger down and slowly resetting the hammer.
The details of the revolvers feature a metal-like blued finish, the Navy is built with quality polymer externals with a reinforced alloy metal frame to enhance its durability, with the painted wood grain-like finish for the grips. Known for its excellent quality builds, the overall finish of the revolver could pass off as a collector’s piece, great for collectors, airsofters and cosplayers alike as the impressive detailing of this revolver is a great addition to collect. The M1851 reach widespread cultural popularity as you it features in medias such as Glory, Hot Fuzz, and was used as a crucial component in John Wick 3: Parabellum.
