The Beretta M9, once the adopted pistol of the United States Armed Forces which started off as the Beretta 92FS. Officially adopted in 1985 to replace the legendary 1911, it is recently being slowly phased out of active duty roles after the adoption of the SIG Sauer P320 M17 and M18 pistols in 2017, but this did not stop the 500-year-old firearms manufacturer from continuing to update arguably their most successful pistol platform.

This gas airsoft pistol has all the correct markings with some airsoft markings such as the German F mark for legal reasons, other than that it looks exactly the same as its real steel counterpart. The Umarex (Elite Force) Beretta M9A3 also comes with the same features you would find on the real Beretta M9A3, such as the 14mm CCW threaded barrel, enlarged and reversible magazine release button, 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail, a lanyard hoop, and an ambidextrous safety lever. The only things that did not translate well into the airsoft version are that the safety does not double as a de-cocker, it only puts the gas airsoft pistol in “safe”, and that the magazine well of this airsoft replica does not feature a beveled magazine well like its real steel counterpart, which is a bit of a shame but it does not affect usability as the ergonomic of this airsoft pistol is similar to the previous M9 / 92 series airsoft pistols but better because of the reduced-circumference grip and is a treat for the Beretta aficionados out there.

Finally, the Umarex (Elite Force) Beretta M9A3 is perfect for both collectors and airsoft skirmishers a like who are used to the older Beretta airsoft guns but wanted an update that isn’t too far from what they are used to. This airsoft pistol is compatible with SRC made M92 / M9 series gas airsoft magazines.
