The Snow Wolf Barrett M98B MRAD airsoft replica is a faithful reproduction of the real steel rifle, a collaboration between Snow Wolf x Barrett Firearms, with licensing by 6mmProShop. Designed with durable aluminum and high precision, the rifle features a smooth four lug bolt mechanism, with a rotating 90 degree bolt latch and a rotary hop-up chamber, ensuring a reliable and high precision performance spring bolt action. As a participant of the MRAD contract, it features and adjustable folding stock, with Picatinny rails for extensive personalisation.

Developed in the late 90s, the rifle was the outcome of the Barretts renewed interest for .338 calibre rifles, later becoming a contender for the USSOCOMs Precision Sniper Rifle contract, a contract to replace all precision rifles with the larger calibre Magnum munitions, as well as reliable, precise and modular platform. The rifle saw use with US Army, USSOCOM, USMC, Israeli Defence Force, South Korean 707th Special Missions Group and such, being regarded as a cutting edge sniper platform developed, and a highly regarded precision rifle that sealed Barrett Firearms legacy, able to reach incredible distances, achieving ranges that was previously though impossible with the platforms at the time.

The Snow Wolf version of the of the MRAD is a spring powered airsoft sniper rifle modeled off the Maruzen APS2 system, using the same four-lug designed bolt with a smooth, easy to actuate spring bolt and a box magazine that directly feeds BBs into the hop up chamber, much like an AEG. The reinforced bolt mechanism features a 23.5mm diameter cylinder and piston set, with the spring swappable with AEG standard springs for power output adjustments. As its based on the APS2 system, its trigger mechanism is designed for AEG springs with a 90-degree sear engagement system. For the its barrel, it follows the same removeable barrel system that was introduced to the MRAD contract, in Snow Wolfs case, the inner barrel comes integrated with a 593mm inner barrel and rotary hop-up chamber, making this a accurate and efficient platform that can be taken down for transportation safely. As an M98B MRAD variant, it features modular Picatinny rails that can be moved to add additional peripheral accessories to optimise the performance of the rifle, with a folding stock with an adjustable cheek riser and an optional Picatinny rail interface for installing a monopod. The fire control system was intended to be familiar for users of the AR/M4 platforms, making this a system easy to adapt for AR/M4 users. The rifle finally comes in a quality tan finish, blending the rifle in tan environments.
