This airsoft boneyard gun is the Tokyo Marui M14 Airsoft AEG Rifle – Brown Version! Although the M14 rifle has the shortest service life in the United States military, the M14 is still one of the most recognized firearms of the 20th century. This proven battle rifle was favored by troops in Vietnam who preferred the reliability and higher stopping power compared to the M16 which replaced it. This airsoft replica is a faithful replication of the original wood-stocked M14 battle rifle, made by Tokyo Marui and released in July 2005. This AEG although has a polymer stock still bares a metal receiver, charging handle, and stock base. Racking the charging handle on this bad boy sounds menacing and could really put fear in your opponents if they aren’t already terrified from looking at the size of this AEG.
Internally, this AEG uses Tokyo Marui’s version 7 gearbox and a Tokyo Marui EG700 motor. This may not be something to brag about today with version 2 gearboxes and brushless motors becoming the norm, but due to the way the M14 is shaped, a “new” gearbox was created, and back in 2005, this was able to go toe to toe with anything on the field! The Tokyo Marui M14 has a large Tamiya connector and is designed to take 8.4v Ni-Cd style batteries, as the stock has a lot of space, which allows it to take larger-sized batteries. Please do note that this gun takes large Tamiya batteries, meaning regular Tamiya batteries will not fit unless you use an adaptor or change the connectors.
