The real steel Smith & Wesson Model 629 was introduced in 1978 as
the stainless steel version of the venerable Model 29 which had a blued
finish and also since this is modeled after the Model 629 Competitor, it has removable barrel weights up front. Although this is airsoft and the gun isn’t made of steel, this
particular M629 Compeitor is modeled the real one with a weighted
barrel and a rubberized grip, not to mention the removable barrel weights which means this is slightly heavier than
its sister gun the Umarex S&W M29 and the Umarex Smith & Wesson Model 629.
This M629 Competitor airsoft replica
has the correct markings and comes with 6 shells as it should. This
revolver stands out from most CO2 powered metal revolvers though because
it has an adjustable hop-up, making this gun arguably more accurate
than most airsoft revolvers on the market today. Speaking of attention to details, the barrel weights are removable and adjustable to how you want it to be, a total of 40 grams can be shaved off when all the weights and the screw is removed from the airsoft gun.
